I have only ever done one elopement until this year and that was in the far away mountains, so when I got two inquiries for elopements in my area, one bride named Kiley and one named Kaylee, and they were only a few weeks apart, I thought someone was pranking me. It turns out they were real and I had the best time witnessing these two couples quietly (kind of) become husband and wife in their favorite places and with their favorite people.
Kaylee and Jameson gathered a few important people in their lives and walked a little bit from their apartment in Ft Monroe to Lincoln’s Gun which is under some of the most amazing oaks I have ever seen on this coast. They joined hands and became husband and wife right there. It had been pretty rainy all day, but in that moment the rain was holding off and the ceremony was exactly as it should have been. Lots of tears, but a LOT of laughing (mostly Kaylee because Jameson can really make her laugh).
It was so special to be a part of that moment, and then for a short while walking around to some of the best places for intimate portraits. And of course I got a lot of love from their little dog!
Congrats Kaylee and Jameson!
