The Obici House was the perfect place for this Bridal session. Melinda is one of those girls that has a lot of class, style and a little country. Nick is a lot of country so they even each other out perfectly, but for this bridal session we were looking to go all class for Melinda! Southern class to be exact. And the Obici house has those white walls in the outside, and open windows with hard wood floors in the inside that made us feel we were in a large southern home. The charm is gorgeous and in every room.
Because Melinda is a hard working nurse we needed to schedule this and keep it no matter the weather. It was a little rainy, and a whole lot of cold, but Melinda didn’t care, she was getting her beautiful bridals no matter what, and it worked out just fine. Melinda braved the cold better than I did. I was pretty numb from head to toe and I hated working in the freezing wind, but Melinda was out there looking amazing and with a lot more skin showing. She didn’t complain once!
One thing I will always say about bridals is that they are so helpful to have to prepare for the wedding. To do the hair and make up, not just to see in pictures but actually wearing it. To have the dress on completely altered and to have the flowers in the bride’s hands. All these things can add up and feel so strange on a wedding day, but with a bridal session it allows the bride to feel it all so nothing is a surprise on wedding day. When it was finally Melinda’s wedding day, she was so much more comfortable and the nerves were just a little less because she was prepared. Plus that bridal portrait displayed at the reception was that perfect touch of class!
