The Boathouse At Rockett’s Landing Wedding

Alex and Lea’s The Boathouse At Rockett’s Landing wedding was a huge family affair with industrial Richmond vibes and all the laughter! The second you meet me and Alex you think, “yes I definitely want to be friends with them!” Lea and Alex are not only hilarious, they just are fun to be around in general. They make any moment is fun. They don’t take life too seriously, they love their friends fiercely, and you can always be casual and let your hair down around them.

They wanted their wedding To reflect that. They got ready in the heart of Richmond where Lea and her bridesmaids had some fun and danced a little before getting all dolled up. We walked along Cary Street with the old cobblestones and fun mural walls. Lea knew she would cherish this time with her gals and these fun photos to remember this time with them!

The Gorgeous Day!

The Boathouse At Rocketts Landing wedding day really represented Lee and Alex as they were rowers and many of their good memories were spent on the water. The boat house at Rockets Landing is a gorgeous industrial restaurant on the water with a beautiful view of the city in the background.

Alex met Lea at the Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing for their first look. They started it off with hugs and laughs, and Lea fixing his tie because, of course, it wasn’t just right. Thank goodness for Lea! We even got some of the family portraits done before the guests arrived, which saved some time after the ceremony so Lea and Alex could join cocktail hour.

The reception started with the bride and groom showing off some choreographed dance moves, and ended with near professional dance moves from the guests (really! One of the groomsmen dances professionally). This crowd never left the dance floor and kept everything exciting a fun!

Lea and Alex were well celebrated by so many, and this was a perfect first day of marriage!
