Lancaster Country Club Pennsylvania Late Summer Rainy Wedding
Casey and Claire’s Lancaster country club Pennsylvania late summer rainy wedding day was one I will remember and cherish always. Ophelia was threatening but the joy was stronger. Whenever the weather is a threat to a wedding day I might obsess a little bit. The hourly forecast is my friend and a lot of decisions are made based on that. That’s why timeline planning is so important to me, you never know what’s going to happen so flexibility is key. No one wants to have a tropical storm on their wedding day, but if it’s part of your story, then it can’t stop your joy. Claire and Casey did just that, continued the joy.
The morning of the wedding, while dark, was intimate and quiet, with all the bridesmaids, playing Banana Grams after their hair, and make up we’re all done. No one was in a hurry, everyone was there for Claire. The rain held off when we needed it to! Rain is annoying during portrait time, but I can’t tell you how many times wind has really left its mark. We allowed the wind to do what it was going to do and work with it rather than against it. It always works out best to just allow the wind to do its thing.
We marched on through, enjoying every aspect. The flowers were stunning and made such an impression. The guests were dressed to the nines, and ready for their cocktails. It was Casey and Claire's joy to see everyone else comfortable and pampered. Special dances entertained the crowd and made for amazing memories. Claire can really dance! Casey is a fabulous lead and great with a crowd. Friends were eager to greet and celebrate with the couple as the full 10 person band filled the room the rest of the night.
