Colonial Williamsburg Engagement
Always always, Colonial Williamsburg engagements are amazing. And I'm not sure what it is about this winter light, but I am LOVING it. I barely had to edit this session because the light was so pure. Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary offer so many backdrops for a photographer to play with. If you are the fancier type, this is the perfect setting to dress all up in. The atmosphere those big old trees and gorgeous old building offer are a dream. The random little gardens, the horse drawn carriages and little markets never gets old. I always find something new every time I go.
I met Jordan a while back when we were new to our church. Her family goes and are some of the sweetest people. I always loved when Jordan sang in worship because she has the sweetest voice! She is extremely talented! I am so excited that she has found the one who she will spend her life with. I loved getting to know Lucas at our first meeting and the engagement session. He is hilarious and loves my awkwardness. I love his too which made us a hilarious pair walking around Colonial Williamsburg, fake laughing and sounding completely ridiculous! This wedding is going to be awesome!
Even though I know Jordan, it was so good for me to get to know Jordan and Lucas together as a couple with this engagement session. These sessions are so much more than just for the pictures, this is a chance for me to work with the couple, get to know them, and they get to know me and my work style. Even if they were my best friends, they need to know me as a "photographer" too. This is why I value the engagement session so much! When Jordan and Lucas' wedding day come, they will be pros in front of the camera!
