Disney Dream Cruise Wedding (Part 2)
The main event is here! Lauren and Thomas's Disney Dream Cruise Wedding is here!
Imagine this. For your wedding you have 25 of your closest friends and family, for 3 full days in paradise. That's how Lauren and Thomas wanted to spend their wedding day. As we were sitting all together for that first dinner it became clear the wonderful gift a destination wedding can give a bride and groom, real time with the best in their lives. Her best friends, his best buds, and the family that surrounds them the most all there and making amazing memories together.
Yesterday you saw the first part of their wedding story, and today is now the main event. After spending two days all together we were ready to see Lauren in her dress, walk down the aisle to Thomas with Castaway Cay as a backdrop. My favorite part was after waiting some time for Lauren to arrive to the ceremony site, her mom and grandmother immediately started with the tears when they glanced at her. I love that they have a family of criers!
Disney made everything happen as you might imagine this could be. Timing was all perfect and everyone was comfortable. We had the lovely Nikki coordinate the whole thing and it was smooth. She was very good at her job and you can tell she loves it! I am so thankful Disney hires amazing people to make these things happen, because after experiencing it, it was nothing like a typical wedding in Virginia.
After the ceremony we all headed to the very top room on the ship (super private!) and they had a cake and toast reception. They got to dance, drink and be with everyone in a room that overlooked the ship. I thought maybe it would be strange because its a reception at 11am and it's only for an hour, but it was just right. When it was done everyone was ready to get their swimsuits on and get on that island.
I am so thankful to have been a part of this. I can't begin to tell you how blessed I felt! I was treated like family and by the end I felt like one of the bunch! Thank you to the Gutheries' for including me in everything and making me feel at home with you all!
