Elegant Maymont Park Richmond Summer Bridal

Morgan is such a timeless bride and this elegant Maymont Park Richmond summer bridal session is one of my favorites. When her children look back on her wedding day pictures they will only see elegance that is never out-of-date. Her long and soft veil, I imagine, will be something to pass on to future generations and her beautiful smile will be remembered!

Summer Bridals

It was fairly late summer and already humid. We knew that we needed to go a little slower and get the good shots as soon as possible so that Morgan wasn't too miserable in the heat. There was not a cloud in the sky and perfect light which we had fun playing with, and of course, Maymont Park is amazing with so much to work with.

Oh, that summer weather!

We started the session just fine with no pressure and plenty of daylight, but nothing is ever perfect or easy, so we soon heard the thunder. You never know with Virginia if a storm will just pass right by or you need to take cover, so we kept an eye on it. The thunder rolled a little louder and I knew, even if we didn't get the rain, the clouds would cover the wonderful sunlight I was enjoying.

Finished Strong

Morgan was so ethereal that getting those perfect bridal shots was the first thing we did. The rest was just to play and get a feel for the dress. Morgan also wanted to document her with another love of hers, which is her service to our country. The princess bride with the boots and flag are not a contrast, they belong together and Morgan wears both proudly!
