Hampton Historic Site Baltimore Engagement
Hampton Historic Site Baltimore Engagement
This Hampton Historic Site Baltimore Engagement session was absolute perfection!Meet Melanie, Luke (and Ripken)! They are a gorgeous 2021 couple getting married at the amazing Chesapeake Bay Beach Club next summer. This whole session is such a true reflection of their relationship.
Home
Luke grew up near the Hampton Historic Site in Baltimore Maryland. The stately home sits on a hill and overlooks a lot of it's land and nearby neighborhoods. You can see around the home different tools and gardens that made this home work in it's prime time. just a few yards from the front door is a strange looking mount with a small door and it leads to under the ground where they would store ice and make ice cream!
The Pup
The cute pup was named for, of course, a local hero and legend, Cal Ripken. Mel made sure he looked perfect for this shoot with his little bowtie and he wears it so well! But really, Mel did an amazing job with the details of this shoot! You can see how perfect the pop of blues come out just right.
Photographer's Tip
The best "event" of this session was the toast. It's funny the things you learn in this job, but one important thing photographers need to know is how to get that perfect "spray" of champagne.Hint, it's never the first time the bottle is opened! Here's the tip: give a light shake and open it, then put your thumb over the top and give it a harder shake. It will go everywhere the second time, so be ready and never have the opening pointed toward the photographer, unless you're cool with getting your camera nasty.Mel and Luke are so sweet together. They match so perfectly and Ripken is the cherry on top. Spending time with them is like being at a relaxing backyard party: casual, relaxed and lot's of laughter! I am so excited to capture this day! Here are other sessions you may love!Costal Virginia EngagementYorktown Anniversary SessionVirginia Backyard Wedding
