Historic Post Office Hampton Wedding

Bethany and Brandon's Historic Post Office wedding in Hampton, Virginia may surprise you. I wonder if you could guess the theme of this wedding by scrolling down and just looking at the pictures. In the next couple sentences I’m going to reveal the theme so I wanted to give you a chance to see if you could guess it before I spoil it.

Bethany and Brandon are not just adventurous and fun, but they’re also very classic in their taste so having a themed wedding was perfect for them. I knew that Bethany had tricks up her sleeve and a themed wedding is not an easy thing to do. Many times they are very cheesy, but she nailed it!

This gorgeous Lord Of The Rings themed wedding was perfectly set at the Historic Post Office. Some things were handmade and somethings professional, but you almost couldn’t tell between the two. The hints of the theme were so subtle and the bridesmaids and florist were so elegantly displayed I almost forgot that it was themed.

Bethany and Brandon made sure that the people who were most important to them were there for big moments. They shared so much laughter and fun and then joined together for their first look. I loved Bethany‘s humor and strong will. While she’s gorgeous and elegant she’s also very casual and playful.

Historic Sites

The ceremony was at another historical site at Fort Monroe, Virginia. The Chapel of the Centurion has a wonderful history that you can read more about here. It was dark and romantic with Gothic windows. It also meant a little something to Bethany as she had spent some of her childhood living at Fort Monroe with her family.

One of my favorite parts of the reception was seeing the family dance with the bride and groom as well as their friends. They may not have known each other, but they mesh so well and had such a good time partying and celebrating the couple. I especially loved that Brandon and Bethany had late-night snacks for their guests including donuts!

Bethany and Brandon, I wish you guys so much happiness in your new marriage! AND A BIG SHOUT OUT TO SARRAH for completing a full year of weddings with me!!!!!
