Kingsmill Resort Williamsburg Wedding
Anne and Andrew’s Kingsmill Resort Wedding was as elegant as they are!
When I first talked with Anne and Andrew I knew that this wedding would be a little different form my others. They explained that their focus was on the people there, and the precious moments spent with them. They love candids more than anything, and they wanted their day to go slow so they could embrace the time they had. No matter how much planning in involved sometimes weddings days can just be filled to the brim, so I knew I wanted to protect their requests and I also knew that with the way I work a timeline this could happen, and beautiful portraits would still be delivered.
The truth is
...that art and beauty take time. Good portraits take time and energy, but also with the help of an engagement session, good education can lead to fast results so the couple can go back to what they love the most on a wedding day, being with their loved ones and celebrating. I loved watching Anne and Andrew love on their people! With all the careful planning they got to have time at cocktail hour and they had real conversations with everyone!
The morning was perfect.
Slow, beautiful, meaningful. Anne put her dress on with just her mom in the room. She slipped on her shoes with the help of her best friend and then it was off to the church with the rolling thunder in the background. Dark skies where all around by this time, but the rain didn’t matter. The church was grand and beautiful and full of Anne and Andrew’s best people. The pastors spoke about important things and with passion. And then the celebrating began and both Andrew and Anne surprised me on the dance floor. Andrew can get real low!
