Finally! Here is everything you need to know about this year's mini sessions with Dani White Photography

Last year's mini sessions I did not announce because I was not sure I was going to do them, but this year my schedule made room for them to be on the right date. Whenever someone asks me about getting their family portraits done but can't spend too much money I always say to wait for mini session season! In my opinion mini sessions are the perfect way to capture your family. I would save up and get a regular session from my favorite photographer every 3-4 years or just at mile stone years (like new babies or at various age stages). Here are some frequently asked questions about these sessions.

What are mini sessions? Minis are a GREAT way to update your family portraits without breaking the bank OR the pressure to be perfect. Save the perfect outfits for the regular session which isn't something you do every year. These are shorter, 30 minute long sessions and it gives you everything you need to remember where your family was in 2018. You should expect to have a great formal family photo of everyone, and then precious moments of play and cuddles in between.Where will these be? The location this year is Yorktown Battlefields. I have shot many sessions there and very familiar with it's charm. It will be seasonal, but not so seasonal that it would look great in frame all year long. When you sign up you will receive more details!Can we bring props? YES! These are your family portraits and if there is something you want to pose with, like a sign or Christmas decor, go for it!What do we wear? That is totally up to you of course, but my suggestion is to keep with my style of photography you should stick to neutrals. As you can see from past mini sessions (shown below) that pretty much anything goes. I don't know what the weather will be like, so another suggestion I have is to not wear anything that will make you miserable! If it is 70 degrees and your in a big sweater, it might not be a fun experience.Are there limitations? Yes. One family per session. If you want extended family to come also, you will need to purchase two spots to fit everything in.
