Ladies talk about braving the cold! Kristen was the bravest because this day was freezing temps on top of a mountain in Charlottesville Virginia right outside Wintergreen Resort. It was early March of this year, the air was crystal clear but with some light clouds covering the sun. It was a wintery day for sure.
Worth the Adventure
Both Kristen and I were coming from afar. Kristen was able to spend some time with her mom and other important women in her life for this session. They stayed in a cabin at Wintergreen Resort which was the coziest, and Kristen got to try on everything well before the big day to make sure it was everything she wanted. One of the greatest benefits to a bridal session is seeing it all come together before the big day so that if there are changes that needs to be made they can be!
Kristen was Glowing
Knowing that there were still two more season to get to before their wedding day, she knew she had time, but because she and Curtis has been together so long, the wait really wasn't that long in her perspective. They both had things they wanted to accomplish before they made it official, and having those accomplishments done to focus on the marriage was the best for the both of them.
Wintergreen Resort
Wintergreen was a wonderful choice for Kristen. The mountain view was perfect and a nice little change from the wedding day in Williamsburg. Kristen went to college in the mountains so it meant a lot to her. This is a big part of her and to have this session there was a great way to document that. Their engagement session was in warmer weather near a beach and their wedding day was all Christmas in Williamsburg. I love that they were able to have so many options for backdrops. They are both unique and these different places really bring it all together.
Their wedding will be blogged soon!!!
Here are some other gorgeous weddings and to see!
