Chippokes Plantation Engagement Photography
I have been in love with fall light this year and Chippokes Plantation glowed for this engagement session! There is something so perfect and soft and Emily and Austin fit just right here. If you are local and haven’t spent time at Chippokes Plantation you are really missing out. There is so much to do there and it is so peaceful. Austin grew up hunting here and even he noticed so much more walking around with us than he had before. There is just something about the old oak trees and the history. The fields and open spaces, the cows grazing in the distance and the nooks and crannies filled with old buildings.
History at Chippokes Plantation
Chippokes is in Surry County, and a working farm since 1619. There is a museum and space for overnight visitors either in a cabin or camp ground. You can even tour inside the homes which are grand and beautiful!
Emily and Austin
When I saw Emily’s inquiry I was so excited before even meeting her. They will be getting married at a venue I have been dying to shoot at that is also brand new to the area. I knew she and I had similar taste and she is going to make a very elegant bride! Austin is a lucky guy!!
