Carter Mountain Charlottesville Engagement Session
Carter Mountain Charlottesville Engagement Session
There is something about those rolling hills that makes me happy and then when they are decorated with those leaves I excited for fall. I find it so comforting to have warm cider in my hands and the anticipation of those amazing cider doughnuts. And the family time I get picking apples is always an adventure and precious memory. To top that off, I get to capture this engagement in such a gorgeous place!
Courtney and Griffin are hard workers.
Both students, Griffin at UVA and Courtney at Hampton U. and both will graduate right before their wedding day. Then another adventure begins in NYC working and living out their newly married lives! What a year 2019 will be for them!
There are many times nerves,
going into an engagement session, and they admitted that this was their situation. It's not easy, no matter the photographer, to be in front of the camera. It's never natural (unless you are a celebrity) to have a camera on you for a long time and not feel anxiety. Courtney and Griffin where thinking about this session all week and building their anticipation, hoping this would turn out as they imagined.
They were right to trust me.
When Courtney and Griffin hired me their hope was that I would direct them and help them be at their best. By the end of the session they were confident and at ease, telling me what they wanted to do. That is always my goal! I want my couples to trust me to get them past the anxiety and to the point of pure confidence. That confidence will be remembered on the wedding day, which is why I insist on engagement sessions!
Congrats Courtney and Griffin! This is a sweet spot in your relationship and wedding day will be here before you know it!
