Westmoreland State Park Engagement
Westmoreland State Park Engagement
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to a new state park that I have not been before. Westmoreland State Park was amazing. I can’t believe that this could exist in Virginia. I’m already looking for ways to go back. When Kelsey emailed me about this place I really had no idea what to expect. But as we were both traveling and in need of a midway point this was the best spot for us. She has a good eye and she found exactly what she was looking for.
Hidden Gem!
As a photographer this Westmoreland State Park Engagement was an adventure. As we walked through the trail to the water we passed by marshes with wild irises, which I have never seen before in the wild. The trail that led straight to the beach that was surrounded by great cliffs and a small delta that fed the marsh. We were so hot that the cold water was a blessing. Dipping our feet in the cold water helped us enjoyed the photo shoot so much more! I did not even have to ask Kelsey if she wanted to get in the water, I already knew it was on her mind. The sun shone just above the cliffs and created the perfect atmosphere. What a gem of a place! I’m already trying to figure out how to go back.
Kelsey of course is stunning in both the denim and white lace dresses and Matt was so comfortable in front of the camera and so happy to be with Kelsey. We got to talk a lot about their wedding day coming this fall. And the lives they are excited to start together. They are kind, funny, ambitious and love their family and friends fiercely. Their wedding will reflect all of those qualities!
Congrats Kelsey and Matt! I am so excited for your big day!
More sessions to love!
